ABOUT THE STUDIO
The Martin Verdonk Percussion Studio works with Logic Pro X , Universal Audio Volt 476 interface and a.o. Earthworks microphones.
All percussion tracks will be delivered clean and fully edited!
Also a total percussion overview (eq/reverb/panned) will be added for reference!
Martin’s set up of congas, bongos, timbales, djembe, cajon, bata drums and multiple hand percussion instruments are all top quality made by LP.
As for electronics, the Roland SPD 30 is also available.
Martin is best known for his tasteful and creative style of playing and always putting music in first place!
Covering Latin-Jazz, Fusion, Smooth Jazz, Pop, Funk, R&B, Rock, Country, Singer Songwriter, Soul, Disco…Martin will add that special flavor on to your project!
ABOUT MARTIN VERDONK
Born in Curacao (1959)
Moved to the Netherlands with his parents in 1971. Studied percussion at the Rotterdam conservatory from 1982-1984. Also studied at the Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba in ’86 ’87 and ’88.
As an allround percussionist Martin worked with many of the leading bands and artists in the Netherlands such as:

Martin Verdonk teaches at the World Music Department of the Rotterdam Conservatory and at the ArtEZ Popacademy in Enschede-the Netherlands
In 1995 he received the award for ‘outstanding service to Jazz education’ in Los Angeles and a lifetime achievement award from the president of Curacao in 2014!
Martin was chosen about 20 times as best percussionist by the readers of the Dutch drum magazine ‘Slagwerkkrant’ and in 2023 voted as ‘All Time Favorite’ and inducted into the Hall of Fame!
The U.S. Magazine ‘Drum’ also nominated Martin as one of the 4 best clincians worldwide!
